You see, in Pakistan, we have a thing called “qafil boob”, (meaning ‘hard-on pillows’) which translates to “cushion”. So, when we say “ouchedy” we’re not talking about leather or cushions. It’s more of a pillow case. Therefore, “ouchedy” is the same as “lawyer” in Urdu. If you see any Qafils in Pakistan, especially in corporate settings, you will definitely know what I’m talking about.
So why is it important that we use these emojis? Well, because lawyers are just like doctors. They treat their patients with kindness, respect and gentleness. They are the absolute gentlest men in the world. One famous lawyer from Pakistan who’s represented clients on the International Terrorism cases, for example, once said that he wasn’t a lawyer at all, but a doctor. Pretty funny, huh?
Now then, the Emo himself is not the lawyer, or at least he shouldn’t be. Lawyers are always coming up with creative ideas, but I think a lawyer just wants to straighten out a legal problem. A doctor doesn’t want to kill people, or give drugs to animals, or give life saving surgeries. A lawyer does those things, but they do them with kindness, and compassion. That’s what I mean.
Another reason why they are great to have on a buddy list, as you can imagine, is because so many people use them. They’re very easy to recognize and you don’t have to type anything long in a comment box. You just say “I love you” or “olor me up!” or “meet me at the coffee shop”. There are even websites out there where you can actually show off your personal favorite emojis and tell the world how cute you are. It’s pretty awesome.
As I mentioned before, lawyers are like doctors, but even better. They help people plan out their lives. For example, let’s say you know you’re going to lose your job. If you’re a lawyer then you could give yourself this emo emoticon:
“Okay, so now all my bases are covered. I will quit this job, if this doesn’t work out. Also, my house is on fire.” Pretty sneaky if you ask me, although a lawyer might be able to get away with this one.
Overall, lawyers are like emojis in that they are fun, useful, and are really used to help people. Lawyers are even protected by a few laws right now. One states that any lawyer who asks for payment up front must disclose that he or she will be getting paid. That is probably why there are so many lawyer emojis out there – people want to be lawyers! It’s a pretty sweet deal.
A lawyer can also be considered a cultural icon. Have you ever heard the saying, “If it is not broke, don’t fix it”? Well, a lawyer is almost like a cultural icon because if they don’t do something about it, then everyone thinks they are a lawyer. Everyone wants a lawyer.
Lawyers are so important to society that it is hard to not like a lawyer. Even if you do not like them, you have to admit that they are important. A lawyer can save your life or a business can go under. That is why there are lawyer emojis. You can see the lawyers smiling when they save the day or if they win the big case. It is definitely like seeing Santa Claus when he comes out with his bag of gifts.
Like I said before, lawyers are like emojis because they are fun to use and they help us make decisions. They help us think through problems. There are many problems that we face in our lives and a lawyer can sometimes save the day. If you are faced with a dilemma like whether or not to get a divorce, a good lawyer can help you decide whether or not to go for it or to try and work things out. There are also many couples who want to get married but are afraid to do so because of the cost.
Like I said, a lawyer can even represent itself! This is known as the “bad lawyer emojis”. A lawyer can represent itself if it needs to. Sometimes it might be good to just let a lawyer deal with everything. They are usually pretty good at what they do and saving the world while doing it is definitely worth the price.
