Our Professional Trainers
Barrister Akhtar Hussain Jabbar
Managing Partner AHJ & Co.
I’m a Barrister with 8 years of legal experience working in the United Kingdon, the United States and Pakistan. Not only do I possess professional experience as a lawyer in different jurisdictions, but I also come with an exceptional educational background.
I received my degree in law (LLB Honors equivalent of JD) from University of Hertfordshire (2009), UK, LLM (Masters in Criminal Litigation) from City University London (2015), UK and Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC–equivalent to the Bar Exam in the United States) from City University London (2017).
I have an extensive experience of working in various areas of law i.e. Employment Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Tax Law and Family Law in various jurisdictions. My drafting and research skills along with my attention to detail have earned me many a victory in the legal field. I also take pride in my inquisitively legal mind which has helped me a great deal in conducting successful cross-examinations. With the background of working internationally both in legal and non-legal fields–it was an immense pleasure to work with District Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles (Bellflower), California, USA, and Abbotts Solicitors in the UK-and my desire to sit for the Bar exam here in California makes me an exceptional candidate to add to your outstanding law firm. In Pakistan, I have successfully defended victims of discrimination based on their religious and social identity, sexual orientation, transgender identity and political affiliation. Additionally, working with Government of Pakistan as an Assistant Commissioner gave me an insight into how government functionaries work enabling me to effectively navigate through exhausting bureaucratic red tapism, an extraordinarily productive skill for lawyers especially those working to seek relief against the government.
As a brief introduction, my CV would reflect that I have never compromised with professional standards and for that reason I have been able to work with various organisations as their legal advisor including All Pakistan Restaurants Association. I have now moved back to Los Angeles and started preparing for the California Bar Exam. I am flexible when it comes to hours or location of work. I can also provide effective legal assistance remotely. It will be an honour for me to become a part of your legal team and serve your esteemed law firm.
